Growth in the Grind: A Reflective Farewell to 2024

Wow, many people I speak to are saying the same thing. "Good riddance, 2024”!

2024 has been a whirlwind of highs and lows, from personal milestones to professional challenges, all shaping the year into one I’ll never forget.

Family: With back-to-back birthdays for my two girls, the start of the year is always bustling—winter weather permitting. But every year, I’m grateful to celebrate their journeys and reflect on how far they’ve come.  The most exciting is to experience another year around the sun with them and be thankful that they have made it through many life challenges in the previous year.

Grandkids:  Six of them makes life very interesting a busy at times.  They say you are different with your grandkids; I don’t see it but what I have noticed I am more likely to set things aside to play a game, read a book or get the long-lasting hug that is needed more for me then them. I would say my mindset has shifted if anything, STOP, take the time to engage more so that they have a good memory of life with memes. As some of the grandchildren are not local, I am grateful for FaceTime to stay connect with singing songs and reading a book or two. And then we you do see them, the multiple hugs and sitting close brings warmth to my heart and a smile that will last a lifetime.

Personally: This has been a year of growth in many ways for me.  You are never too old for new experiences and challenges that get thrown into the mix of life.  This year brought growth in unexpected ways—navigating menopause, managing a condo renovation and sale, and experiencing a business breakup. Through it all, I’ve learned that challenges are simply stepping stones to a stronger me.

Finding time for me is always difficult as I tend to put everyone first, this year I found sometime time to reset, regenerate and change my mind set before the next year begins. Learning to block time to support my growing business. Setting goals and writing them down and implementing them will be the top of my priority list as I move forward into what I am anticipating being another year of growth in all areas of my life.

We all have challenges in life, but it is how we react to them and move forward with the next step, so we are a better version of who we are.

Professional: And let’s just say this mortgage market has had its challenges for everyone.  With rates still high and evolving rule changes, navigating the market has been challenging, but I’m committed to helping clients find clarity. I am committed to providing industry updates as the news is released.  My Instagram and Facebook will continue to provide you with useful insights to the industry to support your mortgage journey.

Here’s to embracing new opportunities, cherishing loved ones, and making 2025 the year we thrive together—personally, professionally, and beyond.
